In 2020, in the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic, a small group of volunteers came together to offer an alternative means of racing, through the power of an online ESeries hosted by the leading simulation motor racing platform, iRacing.
The series was initially created to provide an avenue for the NT racing community to come together and race online when real on track racing was unable to happen. The series however quickly grew interest and turned into a country wide ESeries that saw racers and motoring enthusiast from a variety of disciplines banding together to battle it out in the virtual world.
In 2021, the series had a grid capacity of 45 drivers. In less than 6 hours, all grid spots were filled and a large stand by list was established.
The 2022 series will run over 5 consecutive Sunday’s, commencing in March 2022. This year, each round will comprise of two qualifying sessions and two race sessions using the V8 Supercar and the TCR cars. This will test the driver’s abilities in handing an overpowered rear wheel drive car and an underpowered front wheel drive car. It will also offer up great entertainment for our live stream.
This year, the NTESERIES will expand its premier series to feature two brand new spin off series, The Dry Season Cup and
the Endurance Series.
